Hi everyone, my name is Maddi, I am 26 years old and studying my Masters of Learning and Teaching (Primary). I completed three out of four years of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Midwifery at UQ, then decided to change to a Bachelor of Educational Studies, which I completed in December 2022. As part of my Nurs/Mid degree I completed over 700 hours of hospital placement, which has allowed me to care for people aged from birth all the way through to end of life. I have worked previously as a disability support worker for both adults and children, at home and in the community. I currently work as a support worker at Children's Health Queensland for children with tracheostomies and children on ventilation, and as an independent support worker through NDIS. I have my Blue and Yellow Cards, CPR and First Aid, an ABN and open driver's licence and a car. I am also happy to provide you with referees and my resume. I'm more than happy to do housework and play with pets - I have 2 little dachshunds at home named Zeppelin and Blue so I am very comfortable with animals! I am hardworking, fun-loving and dedicated. I love working with children especially and have an optimistic attitude about life.

Maddison was great with our 13month old daughter and 2 dogs! It was our first time leaving our daughter but Maddison made the whole experience stress free! Would love to have her back to look after her again!

My husband and I first met Maddison through a recommendation from another expecting parent about following our pregnancy and the birth of our second child. Maddison went out of her way to ensure she was there at every appointment and birth, regardless of the hospital being a 45 minute drive from her place of residence.
Maddison is reliable, compassionate, caring, honest and a generally warm person.
Maddison worked as a support worker for our son Max for a period of two years from October 2016 to October 2018. She was not employed directly by us.
During this time I found Maddi to be a wonderful support for our son and our whole family. Max has complex needs including non-verbal autism, and Maddi undertook daily care tasks for Max including feeding and toileting, and she took him out into the community including on public transport and to community spaces such as the Gallery of Modern Art.
Maddi is reliable, punctual, honest, and trustworthy. She is calm, friendly, and takes everything in her stride.
